I have a clownfish pair that have been relatively happy together for 3 months. They hosted a torch together for a few months. I introduced 2 BTAs a few weeks back and the male decided to jump to them instead. The female still stays with the torch and will chase the male whenever he tries to leave one of the BTAs. No biting or anything, just chasing. This has been going on for about a 2 weeks.

Should I re-home the female or let it run its course? If I do let it run its, when is enough enough and I have to re-home?

As long as the male is eating and no visible signs of damage I would let it run it course
If you see visible damage on the male. Or he stops eating I might separate the 2

Thanks. That's what I was planning but wanted to be ready to re-home if needed.

This goes on the entire day. What's up? Is the male trying to coax her into the nem or keep her out?

I think your going to have 2 females soon.
Might have to decide whom.you want to rehome.
Myself id keep the one in the btas and find another small one thats still in a group.

Thanks for the advice. It’s been going on for a while now so I guess they are officially split.
