Clownfish/bloated belly/white clear bubbles

So black clownfish

last 4/5 weeks its belly has been extremly bloated-

it is less active where he swam the tank and now stays in corner where other clownfish hangs out

last week noticed one little clear bubble i’ll say on side

now it looks like maybe a 2-3 more of the clear little bubbles on the underside-

it’s not like they fall off or anything

i dont think i could get a clear picture, just stumped

i thought if he was sick he would have surely died by now

Really tough to say without pictures and a video.

The bloating could be egg binding. Is the fish still eating?

Clear bubbles under the skin can be a sign of gas supersaturation, so look for air leaks on the suction side of pumps, or a sump that got too low and caught air.

They do, but it isn’t good news. The bloating is very severe, and is even causing the scales to spread apart, this is called dropsy, and is from ascites, fluid build-up in the abdomen due to kidney and/or liver failure. There is no treatment, in people they would have to do a transplant. Sorry……
