Got a pair of clowns last week. They are in a 10g QT tank.
Fish were doing well. Been feeding the same frozen food they were getting in store. Maybe feeding a bit too much, so when I did a water change yesterday morning, did a big one(about 4.5 gal).
Checked on them in the evening and one of them was struggling (hanging out in one spot at the bottom of the tank and breathing heavy). It passed by morning. The other was fine last night and struggling this morning.
Tested the water last night, Ammonia was 0, Nitrates were still high (between 20 and 50 on the red sea test card).
Salinity matched between the tank and WC bucket (1.026). Had the W/C bucket circulating with a wavemaker for 24hrs (though didn't heat it). Using RODI water.
Could that big of a WC at one time shocked them? The Temp change?
Thanks
