I am new to saltwater fish I have several clowns
One of my occilaris clowns and snowflakes are acting weird
They will lay on their side sometimes on the bottom of the tank
If I put my hand in there or put the net in there they swim like normal
They don’t do this all the time but ALOT of the time
I’ve gotten my water tested so many times this week and they tell me it’s good
What is going on with them? I did have a canary something die this morning but these 2 clowns have been doing this for a week or so

Please help!!!

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

What were the actual results of your water tests?

Keeping a number of clownfish of vastly different sizes like this is pretty risky, the smaller ones often get picked on.

The video isn’t close enough to the affected fish for me to see any real symptoms…

i saw 5 clownfish in that video which should definitely not have happened. If a local fish store (lfs) sold them all to you at once then i will say this is their fault but you need to do some research as well before buying. They are most likely being beat up by the other clowns, but there may be even more issues than that
BRS has a good beginner guide in general but always look up what fish are compatible before purchasing. Liveaquaria is good for their quick stats (dont buy fish from there though), and reef2reef is a good go to if you need any questions answered fast.

Should be 2 clowns per tank unless you have a monster size tank. And test kits are part of the hobby. This is a research heavy hobby and you have to do the due diligence.

Thanks - that video is much clearer. The small white clown is breathing too fast, the other ones look ok. The problem with white clowns is that you can’t easily see external parasites on them.

I don’t suppose you have a treatment tank?

For sure you need to separate out these different sized clowns - either a tank divider or take some back to the store (they shouldn’t have sold this mix to you).

Are those 2 sick?
Is there a treatment I can put in the water that will treat that one and protect the rest?

Well, the trouble is, the symptoms are not of any specific disease, so I can't recommend any specific treatment. If the tank has no invertebrates in it, you could try coppersafe or copper power, in case this is a gill parasite.
