Have a pair of Darwin clowns. Sometime between feeding maybe four hours ago, and now... this little trail is following my smaller clown from the bum showed up. I’m going to assume it not a poo. So my next guess is parasite? If that is in fact the case, how do I go about treatment? As always, thanks for any advice!

And literally 45 seconds after I hit “post”, the dang thing fell off

Maybe it was a really long poo after all?!? Now I’m not sure.

I had the same thing with one of my juvenile clowns a couple of weeks ago. I noticed it twice in 2 days. Haven't seen it since and the fish is completely fine.
Someone suggested to me that it could be because of feeding frozen mysis and/or brine.
Apologies for forgetting who suggested that.

edit. and yes mine flew off when he swam in front of the powerhead
