Part of the ich life cycle is a dormant phase, in which the ich settles on any surface - rock, sand, or inverts. Anything wet risks transferring ich into a new tank.

Would it be ok to move my nassarius snails into my big tank. Since they would die when i treat copper. And would it be ok to move one piece of live rock that was in the ich tank into my main big tank. Can ich take over a rock.
Can't transfer rock as it can contain ich. Can't treat a tank with copper that has rock in it, so shouldn't have to move snails. Just need the tank the be fishless for the weeks of the ich life cycle.
