Hi All,

I am currently waiting the arrival of my 330g 7 ft tank. It will have an external coast to coast overflow with 7 1-1/2” returns. Interested in how you guys are plumbing returns with more than 3 drilling’s.
Any help or photos would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in Advance!

Where are the 7 1-1/2” holes exactly? (I see 2-1/2” and 1-3/4”, and 5 holes in the overflow - not 7, and 4 additional return holes in the side)
I am sorry. That should be 5 x 1- 1/2" holes for overflow and 4, returns.

I am wondering how to set up the 5 overflow. Run all durso or pair 2 and 2 and make 1 the emergency for a more bean style.

Thanks!

I do not have a setup with more then 3 drains.

Is the amount of flow you are targeting more then 1 1/2 drain can handle in full siphon?

I would think it would be a bean animal but I have no idea which ones you add more of. Maybe the manufacturer would be able to give a recommendation. Surely if they drill it for 5 drains they had some specific setup in mind.

It was recommended to do more than 3 as the coast to coast is 7ft across.

Ok
I was just stating that I do not have one so no experience just theory

I would probably try to full siphon, two trickle and one emergency or switch the trickle and emergency number.

I would have one full siphon fixed about half of your target flow and the other one adjustable.

Thanks for the disclaimer and advice. I am leaning towards this as well!
