Thanks for the kind words. Already growing chaeto. Started with a cup full, and it’s almost volleyball size

What’s the perforated piece the chaeto is sitting on? Intrigued by that!

Thanks

So im running an extra pump to feed the skimmer in the adjacent wall. Didnt want chaeto going into the pumps. I also put a powerhead down there as well to help circulate that chamber. That stand is a reef octopus skimmer stand i was going to use for my skimmer. Ended up not leaving the skimmer in the sump, so i used it there. Works wonders for me. Separates the chaeto from the pump inlet, and gives more room for pods and other stuff at the bottom.

After making 200 gallons of rodi, i have completely exhausted all of my DI resin. Being well water, I was afraid excess CO2 was going to be a problem. Thankfully i ordered another water container to setup a degassing tank in lieu of my expectations. Went through another 50 gallons today with no ill effect on my fresh resin.

My fish room as it stand(excuse the mess). The degassing tank is on the top right on the fridge. The RO fills the tank. The degassing tank gravity feeds into the resin reservoirs.

Ended up getting ich in the tank because of poor qt practices. Everything is now being treated and the tank is fallow now. Put a couple of corals in, but nothing crazy yet. Even sold my trident.

Had to catch all the fish so my rocks have been rearranged. Really did like that old scape but the new setup has more room for sticks with less rocks. Win win for me

Thanks for the photos. How is the overflow set up in these tanks and how do you like the stand? Is it accessible from the sides as well?

I see it's bean animal + return but how do you like the footprint and spacing of the overflow and do you think maintenance or noise will be problematic?

Overflow is dead silent once in the sweetspot. Havent had to touch the drain setting since i set it up.
Stand is unaccessible from the sides. If you were to say make panels with magnetic mounts and screw them into the panel it would be nicer. The doors are small as well. Way too narrow for my 175 lbs build. All in all great tank though.
