Hello there, I have recently purchased a XR30W Gen3 from a fellow reefer. While purchasing the fixture, I took it after it turned on well. After a month, I was trying to setup the ecotech live/connection manager, it does not detect the radion atall. The fixture lights up well and the port does not seem to have any physical damage. I have already tried on two laptops and two USB cables. both with the same results. Please advise. Is there another way to see if there is something wrong with the fixture or the port.

The radion is set to his connection manager and not to yours

you need to right click connection manager at the bottom right corner of the screen if on Windows. Then a little menu will come up. I would set the radion to factory. This should solve your problem.

Stephanie, I tried that after reading online, however, the connection manager does not enable the menus for radions. The only ones that are enabled are about ecosmart live, about and quit.

Is there to hard reset from the fixture itself, like the vortechs...

Try the non browser method. There is a desktop program which should allow you to reset everything.

The connection manager is the desktop app. I have been using it with a usb connection but it refuses to recognize the fixture.

Sam

I think the connection manager is different than the utility program. Connection manager is for ecosmart live. There is a different program called ecosmart config utility that allows you to program without ecosmart live online.

All I can offer, from my personal experiences with the connection manager utility, is to make sure you sign out completely from the connection manager/ESL and restart the program.

Many, if not all, of my issues while using that program were solved that way.

I know it's the weekend and you won't receive a response immediately, but the last I can offer is the direct link to EcoTech Customer Support located in my signature below.

Please share back here which remedy worked for you. [emoji4]
