in my recent transition to metal halides I've had a lot of problems with my controller. resets, breaker going, generally unusual behavior. After some investigation the culprit was found - my metal halide lights. With some help from a fellow local reefer we managed to tame the halide beast.

As a perk, the wife is extra happy as the TV no longer distorts when the halide lights are on :) happy wife is a happy reefer!

If you have a controller and metal halide lights, or have interference issues from your halide lights, take a read on what I did to fix the issue.

I'm linking DA's site to keep the writeup in one place.

hope this helps some folks out there!

Very good info

I wonder how many people chased have had controller
problems just to later find it was a ballast problem
