I am in the process of building out my new system. My existing system is a 40B with a 55G sump. I have come to my end with space and wanted to expand. My first step is to set up a 150 Gallon Stock tank with a deep sand bed and a closed loop. I will connect this back to the existing 40B/55G sump system. Going from ~65G to ~180G of water. I will use Tropic Eden Fiji pink sand for my deep sand bed and use some old reclaimed rock that will be bleached, soaked and dried. Jebao DCP 18000 for a Closed Loop pump and DCP 3500 for a return pump for each other system from sump. I want to use Sea Swirls on the closed loop, however finding this is harder than I thought. The lighting will be Orphek over the sump and 80G. I have started accumulating Orphek V4 G 2 lamps. 2 Compact lamps and 2 full lamps. I want one more Full lamp. Would love to get an Icon, but $$$ will be. Just traded a slew of zoas for an 80G 16" high to replace the 40B when the time comes. Photos to come.
