Got a Copperband 2 weeks ago. I got him to eat masstick. He has been eating fiercely, but 6 out of 10 times he pecks at it, he expels a cloud of masstick through his gills. He goes and pecks again after expelling, so looks like he likes it, but I'm worried he's not getting enough nourishment.

CBB owners feeding masstick, does this happen with your CBB too?

Tried Blackworms without success. Now will try frozen clams.

It’s the way it breaks up and with CBB, they take food in quickly.

My CBB will take in a whole PE Mysis and then spit out the shell or head. Does similar with clams.

So long has he has a round belly after feeding and its not pinched or your starting to see some slimming below the dorsal fin I woudnt be worried.
