I dosed 1ml into a gallon.

I also showed how I measure it, just in case I'm an idiot and do it wrong.

This math look right?

The recommended bottle amount is 5ml per 4 gallons, so 1.25ml per gallon.

1ml = 1.87 ppm
.25ml = 0.4675 ppm
1.25ml = 2.3375ppm

If I dosed the recommended amount, my tank would be at 2.3375ppm?

I wonder if someone swapped the numbers, if they did 4ml per 5 gallons, or .8ml per gallon, it comes out very close to 1.5ppm.

Looks right to me.
Keep in mind their instructions are 1.25ml per gallon
So your bottle concentration is 2.33ppm if dosed per instructions

Now I see your math.

Except that doesn't explain people like me with bottle at 3.0ppm! Big G at 2.8ppm

It seems they are anywhere from 2.0ppm-3.0ppm with recently purchased bottles.

It’s crazy because all cuprion, cupramine, and copper power bottles test about the same (accuracy)

Do it! Plus it takes a few tests to get the system down.

I'm used to this from using their phosphate checker.

I added .25 more. Also... I took 2ml of water a time using a syrenge I had.. I hit the line on the vial before the syringe was empty on the 5th syringe full...

One pic shows my .25 addition, other shows leftover water, other shows result.

Maybe that has to do with the tip on the syringe? Filling it multiple times?

Maybe copper safe is having quality control issues not a change in ingredients? Maybe shipping a product that their mixing mechanisms are not functioning as intended. Why samples of the same batch are showing different values?

Also, Has anyone with the the hanna tester by chance tested kordon copper aid?

I ordered a school of wild caught rainbow fish for my planted and was going through my meds found a bottle, i dont plan on using since i cant remember when i bought it. But wondering if anyone had tested that product. Since is often the only chelated copper at some chain pet stores.

Personally haven't used it. But I remembered @Humblefish posting about it. Here's his post:

"Kordon Copper-Aid is notoriously diluted chelated copper. Our very own @Maritimer can testify.

I suggest you switch over to using Coppersafe or Copper Power. Same kind of copper (chelated), but those products will get you closer to 1.5-2.0 ppm when used as directed."

Thanks!

I bought it originally for dipping plants with snail eggs. Methylene blue to confirm, then copper to kill lol.

Worked for that purpose but snails only need .39 ppm.
