I've had one for about 2 months now really cool coral, I love that it's a carnivore like myself...just feed it a couple times a week and it will be happier than can be.

one of my favorites - an older pic a little bigger now but still a rather slow grower for me but i do not target feed it - it is just placed in a good spot to catch food on its own

I bought one a few years ago, a single head. It became 3 heads and then something happened in the tank and they all started dying. I moved it to another tank and they still died leaving just a small amount of tissue on the side. Surprisingly a couple babies formed from the tissue and it has now grown to 9 heads.

I have tried these a couple of times with no luck. Tried feeding them but they would never would come out to eat. Only here and there until they would pretty much wither away. But I would love to Try these again. any advice on keeping these healthy would be awesome to see on this thread : )

These being NPS how well do they fair in direct light?

I heard you can acclimate them slowly to high light, but I keep mine in a shaded spot that it seems to like

Tried feeding them but they would never would come out to eat

If you feed mysis you can take some of the juice and spray it on the dendro and wait for a little bit for it to come out and then feed it...and if you use reef chili that works too.

mine is in indirect light and good flow. it is out most of the time. it eats whatever i feed the fish, as i said in my post above the flow directs food toward it and it captures enough to eat that way. i started with 1 polyp and a small baby a year or more ago and have 4 full adults polyps now. litlle to no special care, imo a relatively hardy coral overall and extremely hardy as far as nps go. i would recommend it to anyone with a stable tank and reasonable reefing skills, but with all corals getting a healthy specimen to start with is critical

This is NPS, not LPS, new forum? LOL, anyways, I have had a frag of these for 8 months, in high light, and feed it daily. No real signs of growth yet, but they are pretty cool looking.

Do they open when lights are on or are they like a sun coral and just open at night or when being fed

With them being NPS was wondering if I might be able to place them in my tank under the current setup. Right now I am running t8's will be hopefully upgrading my lighting by the end of the summer to either t5's or leds (still going back and forth on that one).
