I agree, I don't think avengers and vivids look alike, I had just happen to hear it more than once in conversations about those acros. I know as frags they definitely don't look alike, I have all three and they look totally different.
I have seen some colony shots of vivid and ultimates though that really do look similar. Similar in color and growth structure.

Not that I'm claiming they are the same, but they sure are similar

I am happy to see that I am not the only one who is having trouble getting this thing to color up.

My vivid took close to six months to color up. It started to color after it had a huge base and stable water parameters, as with most finicky sps.

Mines been doing that for about 2 years now. Finally just getting some nubbies growing up. Seems to be this some case for many other people.

Here's my brown blob! I bought mine from Jason Fox 10/2012 and it's mostly encrusted with only a little vertical growth.

I know this is old but figured why not bring it up again.

Would like to see some current pics of Vivid Rainbow Delights. Please list light source, depth, and flow you have it in.
Possibly picking 1 up in a trade so like to see how people are doing on this slow growing and difficult(from what I am reading) Acro.

This acro requires lots of patience in my experience. Color comes with a full base and good growth. It browns very easy. I have never cut mine but a friend says with in 3 days of cutting frags of his, they brown out no matter what. Mine has some color mostly purples and reds but is kinda low in the tank. Not getting enough light I think. Cant move it now. Just letting it grow. Very finiky when it comes to color.
