There are many reasons to love coral! Reasons like...they are living animals, they grow in your house, they vary is size, shape growth pattern etc. But one of the things we love most about coral is the COLOR aspect! A few of you don't care that much about color but I would imagine that an overwhelming majority care an awful lot about the color of the coral they add to their reef tank! So let's chit chat about it today!

1. What coral do you think has the BEST overall color or color combo in the reef aquarium hobby? (use common names)

2. What is your favorite color when it comes to coral in your reef tank?

Not a coral, but oh man I definitely think white light that shows more natural colours is so much nicer. After getting my Deresa Clam and having it under my white lights (On acclimation mode for the next 11-12 days) Id definitely say my opinion of this stays true.
Lights off (Natural sunlight hitting him from the left side):

I like anything with multiple colors
1- rainbow acans
2- anything that looks great under daylight and gives a sick glow under blues. Anything with a color combo, zoas and acans top the list for me. With high end acros coming in top as well, altho I don't have any

Are these difficult to care for?
They’re relatively difficult - You definitely need to research for a while on these guys. Their intake of Calcium, Magnesium, KH ect… can be rather heavy.
As long as your parameters are stable and don’t spike too much you should be alright and they should be easy (Just be warned - Deresa can get rather large, supposedly 20-24 inch, Maxima stay around 12 inch and crocea are the smallest but possibly the hardest, sitting at 6 inch max size).

As far as color these two guys can be seen from the neighbors house through the window. They glow so much it looks like they run on batteries. iPhones could never do them justice
