Hello and thanks, I already started moving some of the bigger colonies up to the new system, It is cool watching the chromis sleeping in the branches, very natural. I cant believe how big these got over the last year! Here is a quick clip, please pardon the new tank algae :) :

Thats amazing!!

Everything sure looks really happy in there, even with the new tank algae. Some really great PE.

What are you running your nutrients and PH at? Dosing any trace elements and how often/what % of water do you change?

Thanks, with this system, I always have had good PE similar to the 320G. I think the PE is a product of the intense flow in the tank. the nutrients are higher at the moment because I added 81 chromis and 20 queens. Hard to count the chromis but I am still 100% with the queens. I am actually waking up in the middle of the night to feed them 5 to 6X a day and they are starting to sample pellets and other foods. So ATM the nitrates are 1 and the phosphates are .1. Also I used a lot of concrete in the build to build the pillars for the shelf and coral mounts so the system in general is in a favorable PH range 8.2 to 8.3 where things are very happy!

I wish I could get my PH higher, mine is from 7.7-7.9 and that is with the basement windows open and running 4 canisters of soda lime for my skimmer. Very frustrating.

The concrete structures built with calcium hydroxide and crushed coral leaches calcium carbonate into the column it is similar to Kalk dosing..

Oh okay and youre not worried about that raising alk?
I watched it spike over 5 months and integrated when the PH got to the normal levels. Over all it is 1200G system so yes better than normal as the higher ph and alk benefits the volume, I just had to back off the carx a bit.

Amazing looking set up so far. Looking forward to things growing in. Did you run the same light set up on the other tank? Just curious why you chose the ones you did if not.

Hey Cory, I remember from last build, how are you. In the last tank I went from black boxes to MH to T5 and then started to try out these when my chiller gave up. I noticed that after running the Cobs for a short period I have had accelerated growth and color so I did a test on my grow system. The cobs peak at 450NM and can put out over 6000 Par. After a year trial I liked what I saw and removed all sunpowers on my farm and put these in. I use T5 to cover the lower than 440 range and greater than 460 range. They give off virtually no heat and each cob is equivalent to 400 watts of light. On this build I have 24 with 12 T5. at about 30% I have 300 par at the sand. Everyone jumped on the band wagon of the Radion G4s but if you study the charts all they are running is Blue and UV with a little white, red and green. These are solid Blue and T5 cover the rest no wasted white, red and green channels. And I can get 6 of these for 75% the cost of one fixture. In summary Cost, power, spectrum, and form-factor which position like kessils where I can stagger between the T5s.

Very cool setup! Can you comment on flow? I saw a closed loop? What’s running that, how many outputs? Any extra pumps in the tank?

Thanks, I have a closed loop, under the shelf which is the Echotech L2. All pumps are in the back wall in a straight line 6 Maxspect XF260's and 1 XF150, in the center are two Tunze 6105's and off to the sides are two MP60's. Everything is on Random and it is pretty ripping in there.

It is supplying my farm directly below and the tanks along with a skimmer, I estimate it is getting 3 to 4K GPH.
