I’m just curious when I could expect to see some coralline algae in my tank. Tank is 40 gallon breeder and has been up and running for about 2 weeks now. 40 lbs of live sand and about 40 lbs of dry rock. I am using IO reef salt. Calcium Hardness is 390. Ammonium , nitrite and nitrate 0. PH8.0.

You'll need to add it, (seed the tank).

It takes awhile, a few factors involved. Sometimes a couple months, sometimes many more.

I'd start with maintaining stable and consistent parameters, it will not grow without.

I added multiple times but I am suspecting my urchin keeps crushing it.
