I have a mixed reef with a redsea led90 at 100% blues 10% whites. I do a 10% weekly change but I do not dose or have an ATO. I have a Monti doing well(slow growth but doesn't die) in the tank, is there an easy acro I could handle as well?

I would get an ATO first, personally but, not 100% needed. Stability is what you need.

What’s your Alk, Calc, Mag, Nitrate and Phos?
Nitrates float around 5-10, phos around .07. Calc usually around 400-420 between water changes. Alk dkh around 8 if I remember correctly, I don't test for mag to be honest. I might be able to squeeze an ato in my 44 cabinet next to my sump.

I was able to massively grow a tricolor stylo with just water changes - seriously had to trim and give away pieces - no doser, but def an ATO

acropora tortuosa has outlived any birdsnest in my tank. I highly recommend them in addition to green slimer.

How old is the tank? Dead rock or live rock start?

With a live rock tank, I've put in some acropora as soon as I had a full fish bioload. My current build thread is an example.

With a dead rock start, most acros will die for the first 1-2 years until the biome can process an appropriate food chain to sustain them.

Large amounts of SPS, sure. A single colony shouldn't need dosing in a tank with regular water changes, though, unless it's a big colony or a small tank.
