Crab found on NPS coral

Any idea what this crab is? Good or bad?

Squat Lobster of some sort? Criniod squat lobster maybe? What NPS did it come on, and what ocean is it from?

He came on a 5"x3" rock covered in sun corals, not sure on the ocean. He was tucked down between the heads. It seemed like he was grabbing particles out of the water and eatting them. I didn't see any damage to the sun corals like bite marks or any other signs of hitchhikers.

i'd keep him, especially for an NPS tank, like a yeti crab in the deep sea..

Agreed that it's a squat lobster - no idea what kind though.

I doubt he will cause you any problems. Probably a good idea to send a little food his way during feeding time.
