Crab ID

Not sure what this guy is. Pic at night with flashlight. Not a mithrax, emerald or gorilla. Has a huge wingspan of almost 3 inches. Dark brown in color with large claws. Seems to be interested in algae but want to make sure. Thanks.

Does it look like this? If so, long clawed porcelain crab. Harmless algae eater and filter feeder. Hard to tell for sure from pics.

My other suggestion was Mithraculus forceps. Another known algae eater similar to emerald crabs in behavior. Less trustworthy than the porcelain crab.

Yeah, def not him. I've got plenty of them. Slowly purging them from my tank with forceps and traps.

Keep an eye on the crab in question. If it truly is a porcelain, you should see it extend its feeding rakers from time to time to catch particles in the water column.
