I don’t mean to hijack your form lol but I never know when it turns from pink to blue. It seems like the blue is there but then sometimes I gets really blue. Any tips?

Here's what I do, I don't know if it's right but it's how I've always done it ;) what I do is add my drops, and as soon as I see it starting to turn blue I write down how many ML is left. I then add one drop at a time. If it turns more blue i write that down. Keep going until the color stops changing or I am unable to notice a change in the color.

Side shot Wednesday! Pay no mind to the coral in the foreground. It was a pocillipora that was getting out of hand so I tried my hand at trimming it. Its turning green again

Great looking tank and journal! I'm using an Eclipse overflow as well (M) and was curious if you get a lot of bubbles in your sump from the main, gate valve fitted, 1" drain line? I get quite a bit in mine despite having a gate valve on there as well. Overflow boxes are quite but main drain line is a bit noisy.

Nope no bubbles. If you have a full siphon no air should be getting sucked into the drain.

Got it, I'll open the gate valve some more and see what happens.
Actually opening it would cause a faster drain and grab more air, try closing the valve slowly. The water level should be about 1/2 to 3/4 from the top
