Man I like that look. I have that same model 75 and they are so much harder to scape with that offset internal overflow!

Center or corner would have been nicer. However the offset lines up with my sump perfectly so the drain line is a straight down shot :)

Ah, smart man. I’ve been wanting to redo mine to that setup.
I was running it durso, but after a couple times coming home to the water up to the very edge when i first started it, i didn't want to risk it. Love that emergency overflow

Herbie. I run the return over the rim on the other side.
That’s how I run mine too.
Just rebooted in order to get rid of the poci that had completely taken over. (Only pic I have at the moment)

I see, haha; I’ve had a few close calls myself with snails getting down the drain and stuck on the ball valve I regrettably installed as a way to stop flow for “maintenance”, that I never need or use, haha.

I do like the emergency drain on my 40b, you can rest easy with a herbie setup.

For sure! And the splashing of the emergency drain is a great alarm that theres something wrong with the primary. Mine makes a loud draining noise as the emergency line is longer than the main drain.

So this evening I'm combing through the tank. And I notice a coral missing! I had a small frag of Mike Paletta Pink Tip that was gone! Turns out my turbo snail knocked it off and it was chilling on the bottom in the back of the tank. Luckily it was only back there for maybe a day. Put it back in its spot and we'll see how it looks tomorrow. Anyone elses turbos drive them nuts?

So I did a full test today.
Alk 7.4
Calcium 420
Magnesium 1440
Nitrate .25
Phosphate .02

Has anyone had experience with sps corals not growing or being upset from TOO MUCH flow? I feel like ever since I got the nero5 pumps polyp extension isnt what it used to be. I was running them both in random mode with a max of 100% (3000 gallons each)
At 50x turnover I'm looking at about 3750 gph.
Thoughts?
