So I'm currently running a Kessil 160 Tuna Blue on my 29 gallon biocube. I want a Hydra 26 in the worst way, but was thinking...why not get a Hydra 52 HD?

This isn't anything that i'm doing right away, but was thinking to myself...who's got some crazy setups like that on their smaller tanks.

Lets see pics! Anyone got a 52 over a small cube? Would love to see how your growth is, etc.

Instead of a radion xr15, I use a gen 3 xr30 with an aquatic life t5 hybrid fixture on my nuvo 20. I also have a kessil 160 hooked up as a mini refugium light on one chamber as well. I have a doser hooked up as well.

I'm not doing a Hydra, but I do have for kessil a160s over the top of my all in one, which is a pretty similar concept. I could have have but I wanted to eliminate shadowing. I only have the intensity turned up to about 60%.

wow!!! What size tank is that?

I was running a kessil a160 over a 3g cube tank at 100%, but that is wild.

It's an innovative Marine mini 40.

That's how many a160's I'd hook up on it if it was doing that 40. On my new 45 shallow, I actually want to use x2 radion xr30's combined with the aquatic life hybrid fixture.

Fwiw I have 2 a160 over my 34g tank, but it's only 12" high so dont need the power to deep and it's a clam tank so no worries about shading.

@Haggisman14 --I did have them set up with the spectral controller but now they are plugged into the Apex. It is essentially the same program though. Only downside I have found with programming into the Apex is that there is not an acclimation mode like there is on the kessil spectral controller.

I’m running a hydra 52 over a older nuvoim30 cube white greens and reds all about 30 blues purple uv in the 80s

Good growth in a few months of havin it. All Montis and acans growning zoas not so much but holding colors. Sps not much growth not much color but nothing has died in months. Clam growing nicely.
RC salt

Much better growth and colors with Chinese black box led I think but I had that for 2.5 years so tank had lots more time. Red Sea reef salt

Tanked crashed with hurricane Irma started over in April.

I have a Biocube 29 with 3 AI Primes. Wife didn’t want an open top tank so I retrofitted one AI Prime initially but had too much shadowing as it was only 2” above the waterline so now ended up with 3. I kept the stock fans and added additional ventilation holes.
