Okay so I want to sink four glass cream soda bottles in my tank. Will that be fine if I scrub the adhesive off...? Idk why I just thought it’d look cool to have glass bottles with algae and coral growing all over them lol

I- I’m not sure if I wanna go through with this anymore
I found all the stuff in the ocean, so I guess so.

Some of them like this one, I "built" to look like it fell off Columbus boat.

You mentioned paul so I searched he has 9 bottles in his tank. Good luck finding all 9. He says you can find three.
Sorry @Paul B I quoted you.

I came to this thread expecting some recommendations on good cream soda btw.
Oh man AGW is the most legit, you can’t get past that. Although I have heard of Pralines & Cream Soda... now sure how that’d taste... they sell it at Cracker Barrel.

You can put bottles in your tank as you have seen above, I have 9 of them. But I would first break a hole in them or break the bottles, and glue most of it back together as the stagnant water in the bottles will stink and may form hydrogen sulfide.

If there is a hole in them to provide a little movement, that won't happen.

Thanks! I just started the project!

Okay so I’m back, not with a bottle update but for the cream soda recommendations. I added orange peel and juice straight from the orange to just your typical AGW cream soda and HOLY MONTIPORA it tasted like creamsicle.

I will post pictures of the bottles in the aquarium soon. I skipped the concrete part and just sunk them in so they could start marinating. I’ll post a picture in about a week whenever it starts getting some algae and looks better... here’s some images from the build

I want to sink this beer growler in. Does anyone know if the white markings will hurt the tank? I know they’d come off with dremel but I was gonna hide them cause I didn’t think it matters... but it’s not part of the glass so I’m now skeptical
