Scientific name - Paranthias fucifer

Common name - Creolefish

Size - 13.7" (35 cm)

Min. Aquarium size - 75 US Gal. (284 L)

Foods and feeding - Marine fare for carnivores, marine fish, crustacean flesh, Mysid shrimp, vitamin enriched Brine shrimp, feed 3 times a day.

Reef compatibility - May eat small ornamental crustaceans.

Captive care - Usually will not grow more than 7.8" (20 cm) in captivity, A Caribbean biotope aquarium is ideal for this fish, keep only one, may act aggressively towards others of its own kind in tanks not extremely large, a shoaling fish in nature, will act aggressively towards smaller passive fish, suitable with moderately aggressive tank mates i.e. (Squirrelfishes, Angelfishes, larger Wrasses, Damselfishes, Surgeonfishes, will eat most aquarium foods (flake to live feeder fish), provide plenty of open swimming room, may jump from an open top tank.
