Very nice looking tank and corals. I have the IM Lagoon 50 and while I love it I definitely envy the extra inch or so of width you’ve got on the rear chamber of the SR60. AIO will always be restrictive but that little bit of extra room gives you way more choices for equipment.

Thank you! I do feel like this tank is tight to work in so I can’t imagine losing any space

Funny, from my perspective I’m like, wow, look at all that extra room he’s got. I have large hands so the back of the IM 50 is a challenge. Consequently my return pump is waaaaay overdue for a cleaning.

Welp, time to shine a light on the part of this tank that I have (and I’m sure many other hobbyists) have been hiding: the cabinet. Between my apex brain being fried and having to swap hurriedly to power strips, swapping from dosing pumps to hand dosing, and (most importantly) my rampant laziness and hiding the rats nest behind my additive bottles. I also put two motion sensor puck lights (pack was ~$8 from homedepot) mounted your the top of the cabinet that makes it much easier to actually see down there. There’s still a good bit of organizing to do , but at least I’m about half way there!

Side note, take this from someone who installs aquariums as a full time job, DO NOT use zip ties to organize wires!! Buy a long Velcro strip to wrap them tight, if something ever dies or needs to be removed, you Can simply unwrap the Velcro, pull the wire out, and rewear the wire without having to cut zip ties and go back and reorganize everything.

New addition update!tank has been chugging along, and I made a local connect recently who imports. What’s that mean? Buying unidentified pieces for a bargain! I picked up an Aussie rasta torch, but I’m more excited about (what I believe is) this echinophyllia with cold fusion patterning! I asked on FB and they helped me narrow it down, does anyone think perhaps it’s a different coral?

Just popping back in to give a little update post, been getting Dino’s and algae under control after trying vibrant. I do feel like it really threw my tank out of whack, I should’ve known better than to try it but was blinded by the hype . Anyways, been collecting corals and did some light rescaping so here’s a few updated pics to add to the log!

It’s been a little since I’ve updated but things are chugging a long, been packing out this tank with a few more additions. I was struggling with bubble algae for a bit, but after some advice from a more experienced hobbyist than I as well as some Richard Ross content, I stopped being afraid to scrape the bubble algae off of the rocks. So far, along with adding a few female emerald crabs and microbacter 7 overdosing, it’s been working out great! Here’s a few update pics as well:

I've been using the Innovative Marine Ghost skimmer. It works fine, I'm not blown away, but it does pull skimmate and can hold a tune fairly well as long as you use an ATO as well.

Just a new addition update, super stoked on this goniopora I picked up, haven’t seen one with this color combo! I’m sort of a sucker for more pastel color corals anyways. (Also, fairly recent FTS for records, and of course, banana)
