Hello,

I've had a blue tang in quarantine for about 2.5 weeks at 0.2 ppm copper (copper sulfate - measured with a Hanna checker 1-2 times daily). The concentration has not dropped below 0.2 ppm, at least by my detection, and has been as high as 0.24 ppm. Small salt-like dots are present on the blue tang but not on any other fish in quarantine. The dots come and go in different areas much like crypto so I do not believe this is lympo.

I have not experienced this before. Should I try TTM? Look into getting chloroquine? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I've compared my copper readings with an Exact iDip test and the readings were undetectable with the iDip but reading 0.26 ppm on the Hanna Checker.

After some dosing, the iDip now reads 0.14 ppm whereas the Hanna is reading 0.35 ppm.

Anyone have experience with the Hanna copper checker reading high? The cuvettes have been thoroughly washed. I even acid washed them this morning to be safe.
