So, I have decided to re-name the Aiptasia, or “Glass Anemone,” now a “Crystal Fairy Polyp.” CFP for short. With that name, when I am blessed to see these marvels of the reef tank, I can be delighted at my good fortune.

I also, however, always end up accidentally purchasing a “mostly reef safe” Berghia Nudibranch mated crew. The dang things are beautiful and leave everything alone, but they are always eating my Crystal Fairy Polyps! They turn out to have no way to eradicate. Trust me. It’s just one of those things.

Now, I get to be tickled pink by the appearance of my CFP garden, even showing it off to my non-reefer friends, only to later be so sad that my equally beautiful nudibranch clan was naughty. My way seems less stressful. Call it the Life of Pi of reef keeping?
