Hi everyone, I recently started a new reef tank. It has cycled and I’m slowly adding corals now. It’s a 20” cube with a 26 gallon sump/Refuguim. I’m wondering something about my current in the tank. I put the power heads on the bottom so that the water flows across the bottom up the front then directly to the overflow, what do you guys think? I plan on this being an sps tank in the long run. Two AI Primes and lots of ceramic media in sump to help with low rock mass in tank. I also attached a short clip so you can see the flow

You'll be fine as long as you're getting good surface agitation. I like to angle my powerheads so the top of the tank looks like a hot tub. The more flow you have in there, the better.

Looks good but you may have to readjust when you get corals in. Do you have protein skimmer? If not I'd angle the flows for more surface turbulence .

I have a skimmer and the overflow has an agitator plate , along with a power head in the skimmer section of the sump.
