Current USA, the brand that brought us products like the Orbit and Serene LED, Loop, and the eFlux pumps, looks to be shutting down for good, (or at least changing ownership,) as its customers met with the following statement on its website yesterday: “After nearly two decades of innovating aquarium products, the economic conditions fueled…

Their eFlux pumps are honestly some of the most underappreciated DC return pumps on the market, affordable and rock solid reliable. I was going to buy another for my planned tank upgrade and probably should pull the trigger sooner than later.

Hoping SaltwaterAquarium.com’s commitment to support is a positive for product owners.

Sad day. Dating myself here but my first reef tank had a current usa fixture.

36" 4x39W T5 High Output Nova Extreme

Very good value back in the day.

I have to say the wave makers worked well past there cleaning time and they never sucked in anything. The bluetooth Loop thing was a pain because it would always become unresponsive. Their light, The IC, Let's call it a fish only, but sleek.
I don't think they followed the science, and was dependent on gimmicks to drive sales.
It's too bad Current couldn’t stay "current"...

Yep, I'm using one of those, are the cheapest non crappy ones that could do fine tuning without expending a fortune.

It’s a shame really, don’t really like to see a company go out of business. The website is cryptic also… was he pro 301 tariff? Was he blaming all the Chinese companies for their market flooding? I think Saltwater.com may continue the line for a while at least. On Amazon you still can purchase a light but the delivery date was 2 months out Sold by Saltwater.com

This might be old news but I see Saltwateraquarium.com took over operations:

That was posted almost immediately after current usa website stopped working.

But until now, there's no news about this brand, the website is still "down"
