currently I’m dosing all for reef and it has been working well from what I understand and seems to be as easy as it can get. Still learning the hobby here.
Outside of needing to dose an additional tropic Marin bio mag it meets all numbers I’m looking for.

My questions I have and wondering if it’s worth the switch over and to what.

I struggle with keeping my ph up and switching the media in the co2 scrubber is getting old quickly so in turn was thinking kalkwasser. Concerns I had is how to properly switch over and maintain a stable tank.

I am currently dosing a large amount of AFR at 60ml/day which seems to be an absurd amount to me.

My Ato uses about 1.5g/day and was the other questions on how to dose kalk if that’s the way I end up on.

I’ve seen to put into the ato. I’ve seen not to put in.

I have very little space to work with in the maintenance room so easier the better.

Any tips or suggestions I’m open to hear. Love hearing from more experienced reefers.

Hopefully someone can advise you on how to make the switch.

When you decide to use Kalk, you may want to look up and dose TM A- and K+ elements, they are part of AFR.

That is one nice plating montipora. I suspect it is your main consumer of Alk and Calcium.

You could also consider using TM original Balling but use Baked baking soda instead of baking soda for partB. Unfortunately it ads more dosing containers and dosing pump…

Good luck,

What is the tank water volume or daily evaporation rate?
