I have used alot of different frag plugs in all kind of materials the last 20 years but I cant find a solution for this one and only problem.

Some frag plugs need nothing to break others are cut well with wire cutters or bone cutters.

But this frag plugs and discs from my supplier are made out of magnesium and they are super hard. I've tried all my equipment and having a real hard time to split larger colonies.

Not even Gryphon bandsaw get the work done.

I realized this to late so now I have a couple of 1000 frags/colonies starting to overgrow the system and no way to cut them down.

So what to do? Sell the corals in larger pieces or is there a solution to this problem?

Have not tried my tile cutter on that type yet but it works extremely well on the basic plugs.

I have purple frag plugs from Reefing Art and they claim to be ceramic but seem to be made of adamantium

I took one of those 1 1/2" dremel blades - the same one pictured above - for metal and it just sends sparks everywhere and doesn't cut anything.
