Thanks!Glad to hear the tank was able to pull through. Good job getting in back inline. I hope you don’t have any more casualties.

Thanks so much. For Kessils I copied these settings.Glad everything turn OK. Read through your thread and it's an awesome build with great pictures.
If you don't mind me asking what setting you ended up using for the Kessil?
Holy crap! Scary pictures indeed, but you tell a great story brother. So this week I made a terrible mistake. Scratch that, I can’t begin by accepting I am an absolute idiot right out of the door, so I will blame it on my Apex like many others here I have seen have done when something goes wrong. Bad apex! This had nothing to do with my own stupidity.
To summarize, I turned off my DOS for maintenance, forgot to turn it back on, went to the office, remembered it was off, so I turned it on from my phone. When I turned it back on, I inadvertently put in on the ON position, instead of AUTO… And yes, I dumped 743ml of 2 part into the tank, and didn’t notice until my high PH alarm went ballistic (dang you Apex, why couldn’t you have an alert that says “You are an absolute idiot, you just turned the DOS fully on”)
Anyway, here are some pics of what I created, had my poor fish swimming in milk!.
If you are wondering, the alk on water with that color is around 20!. And PH after alarm went off was 8.7. I couldn’t see the fish at all, so I can’t say if they were distressed or not.
Thanks to the prompt help from fantastic members of R2R, (on the tank emergency thread) I managed to do a couple emergency WC and at least bring it down to 9.5 within a couple hours. Emergency WC was 45 gallons!.
Lesson learned? Never, ever, change anything in your controller when you are not right infront of your tank!
In the end I had 3 casualties (so far). 2 birdsnest and 1 acro frag. On the other hand, I actually believe my montipora apparently loved this, I have never seen it with its polyps so radiant and so open.
And I could say in retrospect, maybe getting through this emergency was my true graduation from total noob to intermediate. I am actually glad to have pulled through it, could have been so much worse.
(Kidding aside, thank god for the PH alert on my Apex or everything would be dead now!)
Haha thanks @NY_Caveman. That's only because it's 3 days later and my heart is back in the 60s!Holy crap! Scary pictures indeed, but you tell a great story brother.
Looks pretty good to me. Seems you have your coral placement and PAR levels on the same page. You should add your data here if you wish:

**** R2R Par Database ****
This thread is to host a Database of Par values on different tanks under different lighting, hopefully it will be useful for people to cross reference if they don’t have access to a Par Meter. This will not be an exact science but should give people a good estimation of different lighting over...www.reef2reef.com
fixed it with some DIY. I cut some plexiglass and made a small stand for the sensor that holds it much lower than 1.5 inches. Now it works perfect. Ugly, but functional. I also cut a lid to prevent splashing and saltcreep. Really happy with it, no more socks!!. Will have to see if it works long term.I decided to pull the trigger on a Klir. Installed it. And it turns out I need to make a small mod to my sump. It doesn't hold the 1.5 inches of water it needs to get to the optical sensor, since the water starts to divert to the refugium at around 1+ inch. Still thinking of a mod to either hold the sensor lower, or a way to plug only half of those holes so the water rises above 1.5.
I actually like it a lot. Is it neccesary? Absolutely not. But I like having the par meter and the ammonia and temp monitor for my QT. One thing to note is it doesn't connect to WiFi out of the box. But I actually had a 2007 old netbook that runs windows 7 and I stashed it on my stand to just read the seneye. Wasn't willing to pay the ridiculous price on the seneye wifi. The other solution I have read on some threads is connecting it to a PC stick. How are you liking the seneye? It's on my wishlist.
