CV's 75g noobie tank and now upgrade to 240g

Some update pictures. Now with doser I have found a bit more stability and I am seeing some serious growth on SPS and softies. My LPS on the other hand, look great for the most part but have had I would say zero growth in this year. The failure are acans. I can't keep them. They all shrivel after a couple weeks and die. Still trying to figure out why. Got to go do some more reading.

When I had acans, I found they did the best for me with every other day spot feedings.

Thanks. I do have blue legged hermits. The tube dissapeared as well. Whole thing gone. In one night! No clue if it was the hermits but happy to blame them

So. Decided to improve my flow "a bit". So my wife got me this for Christmas. The "a bit" is well covered, this thing is a beast. I have it at 50% only and everything is flying around haha!
It even ripped out a newly glued frag from the rock when I was playing with the max intensity.

Decided to install a co2 scrubber and see if I can raise my PH a Little. I guess 4 people and big dog keeping it low. Also rearranged my "fish room" hahaha. See below, pretty much using every single available centimeter in this stand. I also got an acrylic to protect the electrical board from any splashes.

latest update on my latest installations. Dosing Kalk increases my PH just a bit. 7.9 from 7.8 on average. But I have very little evaporation, so very wary of dosing more than that. The co2 scubber has done absolutely nothing. It has been running 2 weeks now and I have seen no benefits to it. The media is still completely white, so maybe its the media? I'm going to try a different media.

Playing around with the macro lenses and my pixel. I have to say, there is just no comparison between my pixel and my iphone.....there is no debate IMO. Pictures look great!

Looking good, How much air flow do you have over your tank or over your sump? Would help with evaporation and thus dose Kalk more. Just a thought.

Thanks JungleJim. Over the tank I would say its plenty. The tank is located next to 2 sliding doors that open up to the patio so here in socal they are open often. Over the sump I would say its limited, as you can see on picture above I have a pretty full stand and the only airflow comes in through the gap in the back between the stand and the wall. I went back on my notes and over the last year I averaged 0.62 gallons per day with a minimum reading of 0.4gpd based on how often I refilled the 5g ATO. So right now I am dosing 0.5g of kalk from the stirrer per day and the ATO covers the difference.

So how are you measuring CO2? Also I believe that Kalk is a base so it should move your pH up to 8.0 vs down to 7.6? What is your goal pH, Alk and CO2?

I am not measuring CO2. I just assumed it was high since my pH was on the low side. The average PH is 7.8. After I started dosing the kalk with the stirrer my average PH has indeed increased to avg of around 7.9. Peaks of around 8. My goal was to raise it a little to 8.1 or 8.2 average. But only because I read that would give me some faster growth, not because of concern with 7.8 being low. My goal alk is 8.5. not for any particular reason other than that's what I have been measuring my salt mix at so to keep stable when doing WCs
