I started my cycle 21 days ago and used a raw shrimp which is now a nice milky white disgusting mess. My ammonia got up a little darker than the 2ppm color with2 different test kits , nitrite up to .2 ppm and now its all at zero including the nitrate!!! Did I do something wrong? Ps my tank is a 110 with 29g refuge . I have about 80 lbs live sand and 90 lbs of cured live rock in the dt and about 5 lbs of crushd lr in refuge with a 3 inch sandbed. Thankis for the help in advance

Doesn't sound like you did anything wrong to me. Do you have any macroalgae in the fuge?

No macro in fuge yet but been running ins 80 protein skimmer the whole cycle. And I am using red sea pro and api just as a double check bc I'm overly crazy. Do you think I can consider it cycled even with no spike in nitrates . Also would you add cheato at this point

Yes, I would add chaeto. One thing that I do to see if the tank is ready for fish is ghost feed the tank for a few days and test the parameters. If there are no spikes, I add my first inhabitants.
