Think of using cynoclean and coralsnow for maintenance against cyno bacteria. Is this a waste of money?

To a degree, yes. There are ways to combat cyano such as reduction of phosphate, reduction of white light intensity, skimming, etc
For some, they choose to add a powder or liquid and wait for the miracle to occur
I find them to be alternatives, not solutions

but work threads will decide, instantly


so, post a work thread where 3 or more cyano reef tanks were fixed with those dosers. chemi clean has such examples, x1000, so that's an example of a claimant being backed in work threads.


also strong for fixing cyano, and found in hundreds of work threads: cleaning the tank correctly.


if you can't find examples of those dosers fixing tanks in a work thread, which is 3 or more of other's reefs showing the fix not just 1 tank (the author of the thread) then don't use them.

Keeping organics low and flow high are reasonable approaches to reducing cyano, and if the coral snow or added bacteria help reduce organics then they may be helpful.
