I personally think I added to many fish at once, did about 20 in a week or so, was in need of water changes that I didn’t do. Did not have the time to actually find out what went wrong exactly. Feeding 3x as much in a week my system just couldn’t handle (I’m guessing) most died off and the ones I still have where sick but within a week or 2 where perfectly fine. Have not seen a spot on the fish since. Fully QT every fish. Be honestly don’t know what went wrong.
Now I have a service scheduled once every 2 weeks see how the system does and add fish slower this time. Will be doing the same QT as I think I have that down by now. Starting my list again, should have some in QT in a few weeks. Would love to replace a few special ones Gem tang, Harlan tusk, lineatus and labouti wrasse. Keep updating along the way.

Still have, purple tang, desjardini tang, blue hippo tang, blonde naso, mystery wrasse, Brazilian yellow canary eel. After a 2.5 month QT, finally added 13 little 1” clowns, cool add, they have been doing well. :)

Last night had one of my L1 pumps over heat, where the impeller melted the plastic motor housing! Opened a ticket with ecotech marine. Should have no problem replacing it, only in service for 10/11 months. Bought a new one since I was worried about my chiller and cal reactor not being able to run. I will keep one as a backup. Everything is back running perfectly now.

Setup is amazing Dan, sorry for the loss. I am in the process of acquiring parts for the 750xxl now. I see you hard plumbed everything. I wanted to do that as well. Did you use the Redsea Part 4221 on each downspout with a 3/4" NPT to 1" slip connector with teflon tape or did you use a different method?

Just read your entire thread, beautiful setup!!

I see some things I’d like to incorporate once I get back into the hobby.

Off the top of me head idk the Red Sea part numbers, would have to look it up. I used the MM to standard fittings. Then everything from there custom. Message me if you want more details or pictures. Fittings r kinda pricey, but at the time I thought it was the best way. Some people now have done it a different way. I was one of the few people that got them on preorder and received them first.

Where did you get the fittings from? I'm still fighting the plumbing on mine.

Cabinet doors look great! love the look.
BTW - what is "Smart glass"? Is that the kind that can be made opaque or clear with a switch?

EXACTLY. Ouch $$$$$
Wanted opaque/frosted ( 1 Bc I got a white cabinet to match) but also wanted to be able to see the art work/sump level and everything running so gonna get the best of both worlds. Flick of a switch. :)

Little update. It’s been 3 months. Tank is finally taking off, great growth on corals everything stable, fish are fat full of color and thriving, FINALLY. I have had some glitches with my Apex. I have not done the glass doors with smart glass yet. Have 1 last fish in QT, and I’m done, it’s pretty loaded, with 7 tangs, 8 anthias, 12 clowns, mejastic angle, copperband, and about 8-9 wrasses. Will be a total of 38 when I’m done. Here are some pics.
Going to pull the trigger on a mindstream tester soon. Then I should be done with gadgets. Just a few more pieces of coral (slowly pick what I want) and watch it grow with maintenance.
