Exciting news my new build has been ordered and started! I decided to upgrade from my Red Sea XXL750 to a Tsunami 96" x 36" x 24". I wanted the peace of mind with an acrylic tank being this size (bare bottom so don't need to worry about sand). I think total system will be approx. 400 with the sump. Here are the current specs of what I am planning but am flexible. I will be pulling most of my equipment from the 750.

Tank is going to have an external overflow with 3 1.5" drains with 2 1" returns on the overflow side. Also, I will have 2 1" drains for a closed loop system. Here is the cad with my hooky dookie edit of the 2 returns for the closed loop on the far end.

I must say Scott has been nice to work with and has put valuable feedback threw the design. As the CAD has not been signed off on, should I move any holes?

Flow will be provided by 2 MP60s and 2 MP40s on the overflow wall that I will be pulling from my 750. I do have 2 extra MP40s that I can add if I need more flow on the far end. The closed loop that will be on the far end will be provided by my 2 Vectra M2 (already have but could change in future- Remember "budget right now").

Filtration / Sump is going to be handled by a Synergy SK60 with dual Clarisea 5000 rollers. I purchased a Royal Exclusiv Supermarian 250 but Royal said it will likely be too much, so I am going to pull my double cone 200 over from the 750 per Royal's recommendation. I will see how it handles the larger volume. I plan on using a Royal Exclusiv RD3 230w for my return pump. I will also be running 2 reactors for GFO and Carbon. One of the returns will have my Pentair UV plumbed in like I am currently running. OF course I will be running Cheato in my refugium that is lit by my Kessel A160.

Stand is going to be built using the Alufab system.

Feedback is welcome and needed. I am about 2 months away from the system being up. I got excited to tell the world and will be filling this build with plenty of pics and info as I get this all ready.

Happy Holidays!

My lighting plan is to use my (4) radian XR30 G5 pros to start and supplement as needed. I am going to build my light mount out of 10 series 8020. I am going to match the tank size so I can possibly "skin it" in the future. I am going to suspend the lights from the ceiling above with a motorized lift system. I looked into chandelier lift systems but was not fond of a single lift point with the fixture being 8x3.

I ordered a garage overhead storage lift system to give it a try. It appears it will bolt up to the 8020 frame nicely, Bluetooth function, speed control and preset limits. https://www.smarterhome.com/products/universal-xl-lifter I will be fully detailing this portion as it seems very viable for an overhead lift.

Light fixture will be 8" above waterline at 40% to start. Spacing will be 12" / 24" / 24" / 12"

I have been testing my light/canopy lift setup. I am using my lifters to see if it will work. Its sloppy right now as I am just testing to see if they will work together properly. So far so good.

I will keep everyone updated on my progress on this. About a month ago I put a whole house generator in for my tank and I finally got to use/test it. Works wonderfully and keep my 750 fully functioning while power was out. It was a sizable investment but saved any worries about the tank.

Also, got an update from synergy on my sump and they pushed it to the assembly phase so I am thinking it may ship next week!!! Alufab has my stand ready to ship also so it's all coming together. I am thinking I may have a new tank with water in the beginning of Feb.
