I know theres already a SPS show off thread but i know a few reefers that frequent this site that LOVE "deepwater" acros, myself being one of them.
So with that being said, Lets see those smooth skinned beauties we know as Deepwaters.

realistically, I feel the deepwater name is used to describe the smoothed skin of the coral and its growth pattern, I believe its just a marketing term as these corals do very well in moderate to high light.

I'm not sure if these corals are actuallly found at deeper depths than other corals, i would assume not. Maybe someone else can chime in who knows.

They are not (depending on your definition of "deep"). As you mentioned Dom, it's similar to "Deepwater Zoas".

Yeah its just a marketing thing, but i like it because it singles out this form of coral which in turn makes it easier for me to make a thread about them and see pictures! haha
