All I have been so excited for this day my first batch of corals. I bout 9 corals during the TCK sale last week. Due to the weather the shipment was delayed by two days. The corals have arrived and were boxed for over 50hours. How do I know what is good or bad?

I have pictures but don’t know how to attach.

The LPS look ok not sure about the acro. Have you communicated with the vendor? That’s the most important step and hopefully you took pics before unbagging.

Acclimate them all and put them in the tank, even if they look 100% dead. If algae starts growing on the entire skeleton, it's dead. If not, even if there's algae on part of the skeleton, it's alive.

Anything that's not just white skeleton and/or sloughing rot is still alive. Even things that are just white skeleton may not be entirely done for yet. Getting them into good conditions should save pretty much anything that's still alive, so, get 'em in good conditions. Remember to put them somewhere low so they can adjust gradually to your lights.

#3 acro looks dead, #6 Cryphastrea is in rough shape but has some living flesh, they are hardy, might live.

Rest look stressed but ok right now.

However, stuff may continue to die over the next few days. Just email the vender and let them know the condition now and so on, make a paper trail.

I try to never order during this type of year, a lot of stuff is delayed. There are sales like all year long almost continuously tbh...

I would add them all to the tank for now.

Thank you. That is reassuring. I just finished putting them in the tank all at the bottom. Going to dinner will post a follow up pic later.
