Now is the time get your new DC powered Deltec skimmer at Battlecorals. As the the premier Deltec dealer in the USA, I'm marking down three DC driven skimmer models that are rated for systems from 80 to 340 gallons!

The SC1351 for tanks 80-130 gallons

The SC1456 for tanks 200-260 gallons

And the SC1660 for tanks 290-340 gallons

Don't let the compact size fool you, these are incredibly powerful skimmers. They are whisper quiet, extremely easy to set up, dial in and clean, and are extremely efficient!

If you've been on the fence about a new Deltec for your system, let me help you cross over and join the club! PM me anytime, or post any questions you may have at all. I'm always more than happy to chat skimmers! If your in the market for a larger size don't hesitate to contact me.

Do you only carry their skimmers? I'm a long time Deltec lover and would love to see someone representing them here in the USA

I'm looking at a skimmer for an Elos 70. I estimate that tank and sump volume will equal about 70g.

What is the difference between the SC1351 and the SCA1351? Are these appropriately sized for 70 gallons of water volume?

Hi there, thanks a lot for the post. The only difference between the two skimmers besides the current sale price :) is the pump. The SCA1351 uses an AC pump and the SC1351 Uses a DC. Performance and reliability are the same. Ultimately it comes down to a matter of preference.

At 70 + or - gallons, either model is a near perfect fit for medium to heavy stocking for sure. Footprint is quite small as well.

Let me know if you have any other questions at all, or feel free to PM me if you'd like to go over any specifics at all.

Thanks again!

What pumps are used in the SCA and SC 1351 models?

Hi there, excellent question. The AC model has a Deltec pump and impeller. The DC uses a modified Jebao block and Deltec needle wheel impeller. Both pumps are covered under full warranty for a year.

Hi there

Thanks for asking. Every Deltec skimmer is under full warranty for a year after purchase. Should you have any problems outside of the warranty period I will always work with you on getting whatever you need as painlessly as possible.

Hi Adam i am glad that the deltec line is back in the US and well represented and as a prowd owner of deltec skimmers since 2005 and its still working the only thing that i have replaced is the impeller but the pump is starting to make noise and its nearing the end of its life but here it is a TS-1250 Deltec after 10 years still outperforming other skimmers that i have owned in the past.

Wow, Adam!

I've got a 220gallon glass box sitting empty in my living room, and I must say that you have my full attention here . . . Would you recommend the larger or medium unit?

Besides a sump to put them in, and salt water to run through them, what else would I need to run one of these bad boys?

What can you tell me about the optional manual cleaning head?

~Bruce, ears perked . . .

Hi Bruce!

Thanks a ton for the post. At 220+ sump, the 1456 or AC version the 1455 is your best fit for sure. The only thing you need other than an outlet to plug it in:) is a steady water level in the sump chamber either with a baffle or an auto top off. These things work incredibly well and require very little maintenance and adjustment once they are broken in. Like perfect little machines. The manual heads work well a long as you can spend a minute a day giving them a twist. However on the smaller skimmers I think its almost easier to just pop the cup and clean them. I don't even shut mine off. lol in fact my 1455 has been running non stop for almost a year now. Admittedly I've just been a tad neglectful, but it continues to skim away. However i would recommend cleaning it at least once a year.

anyway, rambling a little there.

I am honoring the sale price on the AC line as well so either model for 499.00 shipped

Let me know if you have any questions at all.

I'm impressed.

A lot of folks would have gone with the "buy the more expensive model" response . . .

Which of the pumps (AC or DC) would you consider to be more effective / efficient / reliable?
