Bonus entry 1: the 600 series would be the right skimmer for my tank. I just finished setting up 120 gallon tank and am currently still using the skimmer from my prior (smaller) tank.

Bonus entry 2: iv never used a filter roller still using the good ol filter socks, I'm not fully educated on how they work but I would like to try the vf8000 series due to it's high flow rate that matches the flow rate of my return pump but I would have to go with 5000 series due to space in my sump
