    Dendro – Dendrophyllia -
    Australian
I have a large colony.I am braking up.
    $25 per head
$20 per head when you buy 3 or more.
Depending on how it goes they might go fast.
I will ship but buyer pays shipping and $5 box fee

You must feed this coral. It doesn't get its nutrients from the light.

The Dendrophyllia coral is one of my favorite LPS corals. The strong splash of yellow and orange that it adds to the reef is hard to match from any other coral besides the sun coral. It is important to realize that the sun coral and the Dendro are different corals even though they look very similar. There are three key differences between the Dendrophyllia and sun coral. The first difference is that a Dendro’s tentacle/ polyps are usually extended during the day where sun corals are closed. Secondly, Sun corals polyp size is generally smaller. And finally, the two different species of corals have different colony growth patterns.

    Common Names: Dendrophyllia “Dendro”

    Skill Level: Beginner

    Classification: NPS

    Disposition: Peaceful

    Light Level: Low

    Water Flow: Low to Moderate

    Water Conditions: 72-78° F, dKH 8-12, pH 8.1-8.4, sg 1.023-1.025

What made you classify this as 1) and LPS coral. Technically it’s an NPS coral. You said it yourself “you must feed this coral, it doesn’t get its nutrients from light” and 2) a beginner coral? GLWS l personally love these guys. Looks like you have some good ones

You out? Also Dendros are NPS that doesn’t mean they aren’t large polyped Stoney corals and with decent husbandry I would imagine most new hobbyists with a tank post cycle could take care of dendros with ease just my 0.2
