I have what looks like spines on both sides of the clam.

You guessed it on urchin. Evidence is there.
Question is. . . ..
Do I remove spines and hope for no tissue damage
OR
Leave it and hope clams works it out of tissue ?

I pulled the spines out with tweezers. Healthy clam. He should make it. I have seen them fall off the glass before and land on him. Usually he closes and blows them off. Not this time.
