I'm researching to get a pair of Designer clownfish. Was interested in the Frostbites but I read that their orange markings will eventually turn black with age. Is that true?

Also interested in Orange Storms, Davinci/Gladiators, Premium Snowflakes. I don't think the orange on these will fade into black (please let me know otherwise). Any other Designer types that maintain its orange coloration?

Thanks a ton! Happy Reefing!

Why are you set on having them be ‘designer’. IMO, none of them are prettier than the wild type.
I honestly don't like the look of the regular type. I don't even like some of the designers, I've done some research and currently only interested in the ones I mentioned. It's a shame Frostbites fade away the orange, I really like their juvenile looks.

The normal frostbites keep orange face and mostly orange fins. The spots just turn black.

This is the confirmation I was looking for. That's good to know. Is this from your personal experience of having them?
Ya snowflakes are similar. The all black ones are black ice..mocha..etc

You are looking for ones that have not been mixed with a black occy

I bought these guys a while back. I forget what type they are( can anyone identify?). I wasn't concerned with what kind they were at the time, my only concern was that they were paired up. They have personality for days. That's my two cents
