Good day everyone!
a good friend of mine asked for some help. He introduced this algea into his refugium for nutrient export. Over time is has now overtaken his display! I’ve seen it, it’s everywhere and he cannot pull it out enough to get it under control. Does anyone have any suggestions?
He says it’s caulerpa racemosa. I have done no research as of yet but he asked me to post for him to see what the community says.

Manually remove as much as possible and then get a herbivores fish to help. I honestly am not familiar with if tangs or fox face eat it but I will test with my purple tang tonight.

That’s what I told him haha. Just keep pulling it and turn the lights down.

Vibrant seems to kill any algae in a tank including chaeto. Have them give that a try. Just be sure to keep up with water changes because all those nutrients will be released back into the tank. Oh, and pull as much as they can before to help with nutrients being released
