Here is my build thread! Lots of research went into this before actually doing it, because I did not want to mess up parameters or anything with how small the tank is (13-15 gallons). I'm going through the nasty diatom phase as we speak, so I have reduced my lighting schedule to 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. Thanks for embarking on this new journey with me!
Aquatop AIO Nano Aquarium
10 pounds live sand, 10-12 pounds live rock
Standard aquatop nano light and heater (to be switched out soon)
Frozen Frostbite Clownfish, his name is Cow

Parameters: Salinity - 35 PPT Instant Ocean Reef Crystals
Ammonia - 0 Nitrite - 0 Nitrate - <10 pH - 8.0 Temp. - 78 degrees F

An update: seems I have seen the worst of diatoms, maybe. I also have put the Aquaknight V2 on for corals to be got in the future. The light is really blue and purple, but maybe my eyes are so used to freshwater. Just have to do my research on what to dose and get some test kits.

Got my first coral yesterday, it is slowly but surely opening up more as it gets used to my tank.
Hopefully going to get a few more things this weekend/next week! Would be cool to maybe get some zoanthids or ricordia mushrooms, but eventually I WILL get a rock flower anemone.

Had my tank established for four months now.. It has been a VERY slow but very rewarding process in a lot of ways. Not I have my zoas populating their frags to the MAX, my GSP is branching out nicely, my palys are reproducing AND my new acan is doing fantastic. I'm about to go get a whole bunch more acans and have a little acan garden on the substrate.
