put a very small power head back there to keep it stirred up. At first it will cloud the water. Your corals will get a nice feeding. :)

After a day or two it will calm down and you will have way less junk in your chambers.

I have that problem in my JBJ 28 as well. Once every other month or so I vacuum it out when I do a water change. I also use a InTank media basket and I use filter floss from InTank as well. I have tried filter floss from other sources and I still like the InTank floss the best. A couple of other flosses I used were too fine and didn't let enough water through and my return pumps were starving for water. I havn't noticed any problem with my fish, corals or my parameters from vacuuming it out once in a while.

While I dont have a problem with it, you can siphon with a 1/4" tube to prevent much stir-up

I am setting up a 125 AIO for FW angels. The plan is to shut off the pump once a week and use the shop vac to completely empty the back chamber. This, on top of custom designed and 3d printed filter cups I did will help.
