Well started a little on the frag tank build today egg crate shelving for the 20 gal that will be apart of the main display both being pumped into the custom sump decided on a 3 tier system to be able to get everything the light it needs but not too much and only did half the tank to be able to get live rock in and such. Was thinking of trying to get some algae eaters in there fish wise. Any suggestions also a cuc to keep the frag tank nice and clean. Going to have a bare bottom for easy cleaning. But who knows that might all change as this progresses. Hoping to have the frag tank up before the 55 as i am running out of room in my current tank.

Well frag rack complete for 20 gal frag tank. Super happy with how it came out. Only made for half the tank so i could get some live rock to help with bioload and a few fish to help with cleaning as well as snails and some other things. Got tank all clean now just for live rock and water. Tell me what you guys think? Gonna give it an overnight drying period before installing.it is pretty stable and has some weight to it hope it doesnt float. If it does might have to cap bottom pvc and add suction cups to keep in place. Anyone have any other ideas?

@Projects with Sam do you think that 1/4 in would do for the mat found a neoprene black or is it best for 1/2 in
I think 1/4" provided tight tolerance is good! But I've only ever used the insulation foam - cant stand paying so much for neoprene when ive had luck with foam.

@Projects with Sam any thoughts on this or ideas? Pretty open to things tried to get good spacing and tiers for placement flow should be good throughout the tank.
that looks great! may be hard to use the bottom shelf under the top shelf though. no need to cap bottom of pvc. just CA glue a rock fragment to the inside of the pipe.
looks sweet!

Yea i thought that too i could cut more away if need be then it takes away from the second from the bottom tier. I am hoping by the time this thing fills up that i am complete with everything for the 55 then i can transfer things over. Then it will be awhile before i have to worry about it being completely filled. Thanks for the input brotha i appreciate it.

Well worked some more on the rock scape for the frag tank build today. Wanted to cover majority of the 2in pvc elbow with rubble and pieces was able to glue them in place. Took a bigger chunk to help hold down rack just in case. And used a few more pieces for coral placement at bottom front side of tank. I think it turned out pretty awesome will throw in a live rock piece or two when filling to help with cycle and bio load. This thing is almost finished then back to cabinet layout and sketch to make sure all things are in the place im wanting. Frag tank and 55 display will be on same cabinet next to eachother so trying to make the frag tank look as good as possible. Things are starting to come together now its time to order in the acrylic shelf for the floating reef concept for the 55. Things might take a little while but thats what im going for. Slow and steady and make sure the 55 is the exact way im wanting it. Trying to see about magnetic rock based frag rack for in the frag build as well. I know they sell prebuilt but honestly been thinking about creating my own.

Looking good. What your Flow pattern through there? I'm a big fan of terracing, But the flow has to be right, especially at the surface.
In the process of picking power heads out still any suggestions it is only a 20 gal surface flow i can adjust and regulate for sure if needed just didn't know if i should go 1 decent size power head or 2 smaller.

Everything is officially wet. Today is a good day. Wavemaker installed tonight and light coming tomorrow gonna add a piece of lr and do an instacycle start with fritz later tonight when installing the wavemaker. Add a pair of clowns tomorrow and monitor daily for the next few weeks. Then its gonna go down. Also have Dr. Tims im going to throw in for the hell of it since I have it. We will hopefully be seeing corals within the month. Super stoked its finally together and done for the most part. Have a long way to go to get the things I want in there but the tough part is over. @NowGlazeIT you ask and you shall receive lol 4 story frag house complete.
